Layering Foam Stamps and Gel Plate Magic

Layering on the Gel Plate and Watercolor Effects with Stabilos

20% OFF Site Wide at Joggles October 10-13th

This week, Barb and I are having so much fun experimenting with layering techniques using a new set of foam stamp patterns I recently designed.
We’re combining them with the gel plate in an indirect printing method—building up the layers and pulling a single, beautifully textured print.

After printing, we bring the designs to life with Stabilo Woody pencils, then spritz with water to achieve a dreamy, watercolor-style effect.
The more water you use, the softer and more fluid the edges become.

These techniques are easy, fun, and perfect for mixed media, card making, art journaling, and other paper crafts.
We hope they spark your creativity as much as they’ve inspired us!
