This week's Tutorial Tidbit features one of my favorite techniques of all time—metallic leaf on the gel plate!

I simply never get tired of a little gold bling. Every time I pull one of these prints, I'm amazed by how beautifully the metallic leaf transfers to the paper without any adhesive. That's right—just metallic leaf, acrylic paint, and a gel plate.

The key is patience. Allow the paint to dry completely before pulling the print, and the gel plate does all the work for you. The result is a rich metallic surface that catches the light in the most beautiful way. In this week's video, I take the technique one step further by layering a stencil pattern over the top for added texture and design.
